Business Event Helps Entrepreneurs Face their Worst Nightmares

Markham, OntarioWhat do you do when everything that was going right for your company suddenly goes very wrong – from a major order cancelled, to a call on a bank loan, to notice of a lawsuit?  While these are some of an entrepreneur’s worst nightmares, they are part of the risk of running a business – and can still have a happy ending.

“Every entrepreneur is a survivor deep down and usually has extreme reserves of resilience and fortitude to draw from, but sometimes you’ve got to go beyond that,” says Dan Wasserman, a serial entrepreneur, business mentor and host of the event. “You have to know what other resources are out there because if life’s a roller coaster, then business is a compressed roller coaster.”

In addition to hearing how two entrepreneurs – Andrew Coates of Aurora-based Better Motion Group and Anya Codak of Toronto-based Yfactor Inc. – successfully avoided financial ruin and turned their businesses around, attendees will also gain valuable insights from an experienced panel of legal, financial and business experts who will provide direction on how to prepare for the unexpected, says Wasserman.

“Some of the biggest corporate success stories in the world have hit bumps along the way,” he says. “This event will connect entrepreneurs to available support resources and methodologies, while alerting them to triggers to watch for. There’s always a ‘Pandora’s box,’ but with the right coaching, entrepreneurs can work to keep it closed.”
