PALO ALTO, Calif., June 28, 2011 – HP today announced a quotation system developed exclusively for its distributors and resellers worldwide that enables them to quickly deliver quotes that reflect regional product availability, price, promotions and incentives. The iQuote system ensures order accuracy, improving the efficiency of presales teams and reducing the risk of error. It also provides additional configurations and options that increase the value channel partners can provide to customers and improve the potential to drive larger deals. The iQuote system was developed exclusively for the worldwide HP channel partner community through an agreement with channelcentral.net, a company that specializes in offering channel solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, channelcentral.net configures and manages the iQuote tool to create quotes for HP servers, storage, networking, software and services. In addition, iQuote includes HP PCs, printers and supplies, as well as offerings from independent software vendors. Access to the iQuote tool is available through HP distributors who purchase a subscription from channelcentral.net for use by their channel partners and internal sales teams. Distributors can implement iQuote as a standalone service or integrate it with existing e-commerce solutions as a configuration engine. “SYNNEX is offering iQuote to help our channel partners reduce selling costs with less time spent finding information,” said Bob Stegner, senior vice president of Marketing, North America, at SYNNEX Corporation, an HP partner. “It ensures quality service for customers, which results in repeat business, while freeing up presales technical personnel to pursue new business opportunities.” “iQuote enables channel partners to provide fast, accurate quotes for improved customer satisfaction,” said Chuck Smith, vice president, Business Development, Industry Standard Servers and Software, HP. “The centrally managed platform also enhances channel partners’ ability to increase margins by attaching options and winning more business.” The iQuote system is available now to HP distributors in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Resellers may contact their HP distributor for more information. iQuote is expected to be available in the Asia-Pacific, Japan and Latin America regions beginning next year. About HP HP creates new possibilities for technology to have a meaningful impact on people, businesses, governments and society. The world’s largest technology company, HP brings together a portfolio that spans printing, personal computing, software, services and IT infrastructure at the convergence of the cloud and connectivity, creating seamless, secure, context-aware experiences for a connected world.
