"Mobile and social media technologies are transforming business and the world we live in," said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO. "As a communications company that has built Saskatchewan's biggest and best 4G network, offers great mobile applications, and has embraced social media by integrating it into many aspects of our business from marketing to customer service, SaskTel is very proud to be the title sponsor of the first ever MoSo conference in Saskatoon."
Aimed at developers and business audiences alike, the conference includes presentations by more than 20 speakers with expertise ranging from mobile applications, technology trends, entrepreneurship, social media marketing, and online user experience.
Craig Saila, Director of Digital Products at the Globe and Mail states, "For the past couple of years, The Globe and Mail has been exploring the future of news using social media and the latest mobile platforms. I'm looking forward to attending MoSo to not only share those experiences but also learn about how others are experimenting with these new media outlets."
The mobile and social media conference will also host the MoSoApp Showcase featuring locally developed applications and a mini WIPJam that offers a unique, interactive format that blends UnPanels with intimate discussion groups led by industry leaders and developers alike. In addition, from Thursday evening and continuing over the weekend will be MoSoFest, an indie music festival to help bring together attendees and speakers to further encourage socializing and idea sharing.
"The depth of social media talent in Canada is truly staggering, from talented individuals to innovative companies that are pioneering new approaches to connect, cultivate and share, "said Adam Moffat, Director of External Communications, Molson Coors Canada.
